About

I have always been passionate about art making.  Despite drawing early on and taking some art classes in college, I only began working with paint in 2011.  Since then, I have painted hundreds of digital and acrylic paintings in various styles.

Artistic Style

Somewhere between the conscious and unconscious lies my artistic style. It relies less on a concrete methodology as it does on an unadulterated response to what the work is urging me to say in the moment.  

Sometimes a painting more directly resembles the original source in that I’m trying to capture the essence of the reference as accurately as possible.  On other occasions, I may base the subject entirely on an imaginative idea or look to develop the subject matter in an original way.

In the end, I feel the best work I can do is akin to thinking out loud- The ideas crystallize onto the canvas in a unique and suggestive way but never steer the viewer toward a predetermined answer.
